Congress Theme: "Emotional Compass: Navigating Wellbeing"
Colleagues in psychiatry and allied professions are invited to join us in celebrating the city of Perth and the state of Western Australia while exploring the axes of the emotional compass and navigating wellbeing for ourselves and those we meet in the course of our work.
The
41st Congress of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists should enrich those that attend professionally, clinically and academically as well as provide an opportunity for networking with colleagues from the antipodes and beyond. We hope that the delegates will also enjoy an arts and entertainment program that has traditionally been one of the highlights of the Congress.
The program has a number of invited overseas and binational speakers including Professor German Berrios, Dr Jonathan Chick, Professor Robert Cloninger, Dr Jeremy Holmes. The emotional compass will be explored across the course of development in the child, adolescent, adult and older adult streams. In addition invited and free paper presentations in forensic psychiatry, psychotherapy, neuropsychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, philosophy, addictions, rural/remote psychiatric practice, consumer/carer issues and ethics.
